a test light & jumpers would shorten the diagnostic process & iterations significantly – you know, for the future

BTW, crank & turn over means the same thing – firing (aka attempted ignition) is what one would expect as a result of cranking…

since the cold start valve had pressurized fuel and is connected to the injector supply, the problem may lie elsewhere

Sometimes you can get lucky and pound on the fuel tank to get another start out of the truck to get you somewhere more convenient to get the pump replaced. This doesn’t always work, and sometimes it’ll only get you going just once.
